Oliver Townend who is based near Ellesmere in Shropshire, was the winner of both Badminton and Burghley in 2009, in 2017 he won Burghley for the second time and was a member of the gold medal winning British team at the European Championships at Strzegom. Oliver’s success has always been based on hard graft and a love for the horses he works with. One of the busiest riders on the circuit, he is currently ranked 11th in the FEI World rankings and in 2017 Oliver also retained his place at the top of the British Eventing rider rankings for a fourth year.
